40th anniversary
Charles and Marie Hutcheson were married Aug. 17, 1962 which is also Mrs. Hutcheson's birthday in Citronelle, Ala., at First Baptist Church. The couple lives in Collinsville and are planning a trip to celebrate their 40th anniversary. They have three children, Lisa Walsh of Meridian, Doug Hutcheson of Collinsville and Marcy Miller of Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren.
50th anniversary
Rusty and Mackie Culpepper were married Aug. 16, 1952, in the home of the late Rev. Bluiett Culpepper, the grandfather of Mr. Culpepper. They have three children, Kim Culpepper and his wife, Cathy, Carla Sanderford and her husband, Sandy, and Bryan Culpepper and his wife, Cindy; seven grandchildren, Dusty, Phillip, Kristen, Justin, Jared, Caleb and Caitlin; and one great-grandchild, Karsyn McCain. The couple will celebrate their 50th anniversary with their family.
60th anniversary
Danny and Elizabeth Hardee celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 19, 2002. They were honored with a dinner at Clarkco State Park with the Chickasawhay Ramblers Camping Club as guests. Also attending was their grandson, Tony Hardee and his wife, Josy, and their great-grandson, Brooks. The dinner was hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Glenda Hardee Jr.
60th anniversary
George and Helen Lackey celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last month. They were married on July 18, 1942, in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon White of Obadiah. They have two daughters in the Meridian area, Georgia Carol Walker and Pam Frazier. They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with a fourth one on the way later this year and a fifth early next year. George served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and is a retired electrician with Local IBEW 917. Helen is a retired school bus driver and former employee of Hughes Telephone Co.
