Q.V. SYKES

District 4 supervisor
Services for "Coach" Q.V. Sykes will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Zachary Finley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sykes, 68, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
He was supervisor for District 4 supervisor and a retired educator and coach. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Laura D. Sykes of Meridian; a son, Dr. Reggie Sykes of Gulfport; two daughters, Kaye Williams and her husband, Jack, of Martinez, Calif., and Barbara Scott and her husband, Jerry, of Meridian; four brothers, Billie Sykes and his wife, Ollie, of Meridian, James Sykes and his wife, Naomi, of Chicago, Robert Sykes of Newark, N.J., and O.W. Sykes and his wife, Ludie, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a sister, Henrietta Johnson of Grenada, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jack Collins Williams III and Samantha Williams, both of Martinez, and Jared Scott of Meridian; a special brother-in-law, Larry Lucas and his wife, Camille, of Washington, D.C.; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m. at the church.

Services for Nellie Lee Herrington will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Terry officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Herrington, 71, of Oneonta, Ala., died Saturday, July 13, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, W.L. "Buddy" Herrington; a daughter, Renee H. Gladden and her husband, Johnny; a son, Teddy Herrington, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances L. Herrington and her husband, Mack, and Bobbie L. Ethridge and her husband, Bill; a brother, Andrew "Bud" Lee and his wife, Edna.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joey H. Fuller; three sisters, Roxie L. Martin, Jo L. Herrington Blackwell and Willis L. McKee; and three brothers, W.O. Lee, J.A. Lee and Louie Lee.
Pallbearers will be Buck Fuller, Wayne Montgomery, Ronald Ellard, Billy Jack Ethridge, Hal Herrington and Wylie Hodges.
WILLIE IDELL SMITH KILLEN AINSWORTH

UNION Services for Willie Idell Smith Killen Ainsworth will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Golden Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ainsworth, 57, of Edinburg, died, Saturday, July 13, 2002, in her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Ainsworth of Louisville, Brenda McNeil of Pineville, Linda Collins of Rankin County and Martha Ogletree of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a stepson, Jamie Ainsworth of Louisville; and a sister, Velma Hamilton of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Pierce; and a brother, Jimmy Smith.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
GERTRUDE VIVERETTE RISHER

Graveside services for Gertrude Viverette Risher were held Saturday at Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Risher, of Vicksburg, originally from Meridian, died Friday, July 5, 2002, in Vicksburg. She was retired from Riley Hospital and a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Risher and her sons, Charles A. Risher and Thomas D. Risher.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Barney Tucker, 86, of Meridian, who died, Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice.
