McDonald, Howard

Brandi Lynne Howard and Marden Victor McDonald of Arab, Ala., were married Saturday, May 25, 2002, at First Christian Church with the Rev. Steve Pouncey officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Howard of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold McDonald of Arab.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thomas, and Bettie Howard and the late Leo Howard, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Vera McDonald of Gadsden, Ala.; the late Homer McDonald and the late Durwood Thompson and the late Maudie Thompson, all of Arab.
Nuptial music was provided by Dr. Manley Blackwell, organist; Jill Caudle and Charlotte Davis, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Renaissance style gown of chiffon over satin with long sheer bell sleeves. The gown featured a corset satin bodice outlined with rows of seed pearls that connected to the A-line skirt and finished with a sweep train.
Her organza veil connected to a pearl clustered tiara. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of periwinkle hydrangeas and lime roses with purple wax flower and variegated pittisporum accents.
Shannon Crago of Meridian attended her cousin as matron of honor. Kaylen Crago of Meridian was flower girl.
Program and register attendants were Ashley Eakes of Meridian, cousin of the bride, and Rachel McDonald of Arab, niece of the bridegroom.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Ushers were Garad Harrell of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Mark Wilson of Chatom, Ala.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Missy Covington, Dana Luquire, Melody Pennington, Jamie Quinn, Heather Loper and Kristen Strickland.
After the wedding a barbecue was hosted by the bride's parents at the Moon House in Livingston, Ala.
After a honeymoon trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Arab.
