Accident victim identified

Meridian police have identified an Indiana man as the victim of a one-car accident on Interstate 20/59.
Detective Deano Harper, a spokesman for the Meridian Police Department, said Peter William Meyer Jr., 27, of Lafayette, Ind., was killed in the Monday accident near the 157 mile marker after his eastbound pickup truck left the road and flipped several times.
Harper said two other passengers, a 21-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl, were sent to local hospitals, treated for minor injuries and released. Harper said Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harper said both of the other passengers were wearing seatbelts.
