Hope Village for real

By Staff
Dec. 30, 2001
It's for real. The official opening of Hope Village for Children is a credit to the thousands of hours spent by hundreds of volunteers and other contributors determined to re-invent the traditional concept of what an orphanage should be.
Hope Village is a residential care center for abused and neglected children, children whose quality of life should improve substantially now that they have a real place to call home and nurturing, supportive people around them. And, the lives of these supportive people will clearly be filled by the knowledge that they are performing a valuable service.
The people who dreamed this dream and worked to make it come true deserve our deepest appreciation for what they and we have all accomplished together.
Hope Village is a shining example of the unlimited potential of this area. By uniting behind a cause, contributing their money, time, ideas and personal efforts, people here once again have done themselves proud.
