Watson, Burns

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Benford Watson of Hattiesburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth, to Gary Clarke Burns Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Clarke Burns Sr. of Selma, Ala.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at 5 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Watson is the granddaughter of Janette Watson of Meridian and the late Ben Watson; Bernell Brewer of Magee and the late Earl Brewer.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Jackson Academy in Jackson and the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
Miss Watson is employed as an accountant with Aldridge, Burden and Company in Montgomery, Ala.
Mr. Burns is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Burns of Selma, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Rittenberry.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Griffin High School in Griffin, Ga., and the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
Mr. Burns is employed by Jenkins Brick Company in Montgomery.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
