OBITUARIES FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 12, 2001

Retired laborer
Services for David Randle Jr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba.
Mr. Randle, 55, of Lakewell, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include four sisters, Eva Randle and Mary Jackson, both of Meridian, Glenda Robinson of Oklahoma City and Annie Ruth Williams of Bailey; six brothers, Arthur James Randle, Robert Lee Randle, Willie Lee Randle, Edward Randle, Abraham Randle and Nathan Randle, all of Meridian.

QUITMAN Services for Janie Crews will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pearlie Grove Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Elijah Fouler officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Crews, 77, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include a sister, Sara M. Davis and a brother, Robert L. Wallace, both of Quitman; and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Quitman.
SHERMAN MCDANIEL
Retired truck driver
Services for Sherman McDaniel will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Excell Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. McDaniel, 85, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Sumter County Nursing Center in York, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Sophie McDaniel, a son, Sherman Mack and his wife, Margie, all of Meridian; a brother, Dallas Brown of Jackson; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Edrye Gray Vaughn who died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in New York.
