    OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 12, 2001

    NINA GRACE HARRY

    YORK, Ala. Services for Nina Grace Harry will be held today at 11 a.m. at Briggs Chapel Memorial Church with the Rev. Jerry McMullen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Harry, 84, of Livingston, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include a daughter, Faye H. Bedwell of Livingston; a brother, Robert Dollar of Tuscaloosa; three grandchildren, Suzanne Nicholas, Mark Bedwell, and William Bedwell; and two great-grandchildren, Adam Nicholas and Mary Grace Bedwell.
    The family requests memorials be made to Briggs Chapel Cemetery Fund or to the Ruby Pickens Tartt Library in Livingston.
    Pallbearers will be Bill Roloph, Jeff Myers, Eddie Bell, Forrie Bell, Larry Jones, L. Ray Harry, Lamar Harry, Jimmie Davis, Greg Briggs, Bill Briggs and John Dirksen.
    MARY W. WALKER

    YAZOO CITY Services for Mary W. Walker will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bud Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
    Mrs. Walker, 89, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Beverly HealthCare-Broadmoor.
    Survivors include a son, Wallace Walker of Vaughan; a daughter, Katherine Beene of Meridian; two sisters, Clara Louise Thornton of Belzoni and Mildred Briggs of Hope Well, Va.; a brother, C.B. Windham of Okalona; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Charles B. Walker and a daughter, Mary Alice Reece.
    Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
    JAMES EDWARD RUSH
    Retired farmer
    Services for James Edward "Hoot" Rush will be held today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Preston with the Rev. Melvin Rush officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Rush, 76, of Preston, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Riley Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Lillie G. Rush, a daughter, Auguster Rine Rush Pitre, three sons, Nathan Rush, Alivn Rush and Evans Rush, all of Preston; a sister, Hollie Mae Evans of Ben Harbor, Mich.; three brothers, Marvin Rush and his wife, Vinnie, Arthur Rush and his wife, Ruth, and Tommie Rush, all of Preston; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Rush Jr.; and a grandson, Jonathan Pitre.
    Visitation will be one hour prior to the service today at the church.
    ESTHER TOWNSEND
    Retired seamstress from Wells Lamont
    PHILADELPHIA Services for Esther Townsend will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sandtown United Methodist Church with the Revs. Kevin Brouillette and Stanley Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Sandtown Cemetery with John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Townsend, 88, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
    Survivors include three daughters, Marie Crawford of Decatur, Jane Partin of Philadelphia and Maxine Reynolds of Meridian; a son, Ross Townsend of Philadelphia; two sisters, Alma Kline of Atkins, Ark. and Bertie Griggs of Jackson; two brothers, Olney McKenzie of Brinkley, Ark. and Paul McKenzie of Chester, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service.
    ROBERT STANLEY WALL

    NEWTON Services for Robert Stanley Wall will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Robinson and Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Wall, 61, of Newton, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wall of Newton; three daughters, Kathy Dorsett of Shiloh, N.C., Joan Grimes of Newton and Lynn Townsend of Union; a son, Michael Wall of Newton; a sister-in-law, Marie Wall of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Wall of Forest; and six grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virgie Chapman Wall; a son, Robert Wall Jr.; and a brother, Ed Wall.
    Pallbearers will be Emmitt Bolton, Jackson Grass, Paul Jones, David Cotton, Jerry Garrison, Eric Wall, Billy Wall and Frank Chapman.
    Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers, Terry Henderson, Larry Walker, Wayne Tolbert, Arthur Thompson, Rodney Henderson and Litton Duke.
    Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    ANNIE LEE ANDERSON

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Annie Lee Anderson will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Friendship Assembly of God with the Rev. Clifford Jinkerson officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Anderson, 69, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 11, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her husband, Hickman Anderson, a daughter, Marie Broome and a son, James "Jim" Anderson, all of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Anderson and a great-grandson, Chandler Anderson.
    DOROTHY MATTHEWS
    Homemaker
    Services for Dorothy Matthews will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
    Mrs. Matthews, 74, of Sacramento, Calif., died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Sacramento.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Williams of Sacramento; a sister, Beatrice Coleman of Meridian; a brother, William Lewis of Columbus, Mo.; a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
