MCC softball team downs Georgia Perimeter

The Meridian Community College Lady Eagle softball team ran its record to 18-7 with a 5-0 blanking of Georgia Perimeter at Northeast Park.
Amy Adcox continued her strong pitching for the Eagles, improving to 12-2, by allowing just four hits.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before adding on two more in the fourth for insurance.
Kenya Wilson went 3-for-4 with a double and Stephanie Dixon had a 3-for-3 day. Aree Jenkins slapped a double and Ashley Hicks chipped in with a single for MCC, which travels to face Faulkner State Wednesday.
