Belgreen 9th grade girls extend winning streak to 16-0

The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Phillips She-Bears by a score of 47-13 on Dec. 10.

Belgreen led 22-0 after the first quarter with Kaley Vandiver scoring seven of her 12 points; Johnna Oliver scoring all five of her points; and Ana Castillo scoring all four of her points.

In the second quarter, Belgreen increased their lead to 32-7. Kaycee Wilson added four points and Emma Willingham banked in two points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Shellie Barber, Cortny Williams, Peyton Bingham, Nicole Borden, and Callie Barber all chipped in two points each as Belgreen led 43-9 after three quarters.

In the final frame Mallori Miller and Cammie Terrell completed the scoring with two each for the final tally.

On Thursday night, the Lady Bulldogs picked up their 16th victory without a loss by defeating Vina by a score of 47-18.

Belgreen led 15-4 after the first quarter. Kaley Vandiver hit two three pointers; Shellie Barber hit one three pointer and Ana Castillo chipped in two points.

Emma Humphres and Montana Howard had a three each for Vina in the second quarter, however Peyton Bingham scored eight of her 10 points and Nicole Borden chipped in four more as Belgreen increased the lead to 29-10 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Johnna Oliver scored five of her nine points as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 41-17 lead after three.

In the final frame, Mallori Miller and Cortny Williams added two each for the final tally.

Belgreen will host a Christmas tournament Dec. 20-21.
