Glenda G. Hyde

Glenda Gail Hyde, 60, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at UAB Hospital.
Mrs. Hyde lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ. She was retired from the H. D. Lee Company with 23 years of service.
A memorial service was held Friday, May 2, 2008, at North Highlands Church of Christ with Keith Barnett officiating.
Survivors include children, Scott Hyde and wife, Debbie, Iuka, Miss., Marty Hyde and wife, Kim, Bowie Md., Paula Klasing and husband, Dirk, Camerton, N.C.; sisters, Connie Clement, Panama City, Fla., Betty Faye Glaze, Miami, Fla.; brothers, Adrian Dale Hendrix, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kenneth Earl Hendrix and wife, Joan, Crawfordville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ray Hyde; parents, Adrian G. and Mamie Hendrix.
A.J. Underwood

A.J. Underwood, 84, of Spruce Pine, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Burns Nursing Home.
He was a lifetime resident of Franklin County and member of the Church of Christ. He retired from Michael Construction Company with 30 years of service.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Eddie Caskey officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his son, Elliott Underwood and wife, Linda, Spruce Pine; sister, Sara Lanier and husband, Johnny, Morris; grandson, Greg Underwood and wife, Sheila, great-granddaughter, Kelbi Underwood, all of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Greg Underwood, Wally Poss, Jimmy Poss, Joe Poss, Thomas Underwood and George Humphries.
Mr. Underwood was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Underwood, Jim Underwood; sisters, Ira Poss, Louise Dennis, Ruby Wood and Dot Miller.
Eural D. Hester

Eural Dee Hester, 73, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Blankenship officiating. Interment was in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Thurman Howard, Jimmy Hitt, Gerald Taylor, Jeff Hester, Tryus Taylor, Tim Miles, Steve Gallien and Bradley Austin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sarah Miles Hester; sons, Dudley K. Hester and Joel D. Hester and wife, Rhonda; brother, Charles E. Hester and wife, Ann; sister, Berline Taylor and husband, Sparkle; grandson, Bradley Austin; granddaughter, Baylee Hester; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He was a 1952 graduate of Belgreen High School; retiree from Reynolds Metals Company and U.S. Army veteran, having served 18 months in Germany.
We appreciate all the prayers, visits, and support of all our family and friends during Eural's illness and this difficult time. We especially thank Doctors Mann, Heaton, Holden, Morris Lloyd Bridges, CCU and the Palliative Care Unit nurses at ECM Hospital for their diligent and caring care of all of us.
