    Retired merchant
    Services for Alice R. Huddleston will be held today at 1 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Duffee.
    Mrs. Huddleston, 100, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifetime resident of Newton County and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a retired merchant in the Duffee Community.
    Survivors include her sons, Bobby Huddleston and his wife, Amelia, and D.Q. Huddleston and his wife, Faye, all of Little Rock; daughters, Opal Clearman of Meridian, Bonnie Collins and her husband, Don, of Little Rock and Quincie Scarborough and her husband, Lamar, of Collinsville; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Huddleston; parents, George and Amanda Rigdon; children, Basil Lee and Barbara Jean Huddleston; and a grandson, Malcolm Clearman.
    Pallbearers will be Bob Huddleston Jr., Jeremy Warren, Rodney Scarborough, Keith Joyner, Randy Swan, Hagen Scarborough and C.J. Wolverton.
    Student
    VICKSBURG Services for Nicholas Scott "Nic" Townsend will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David DeWeese officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
    Mr. Townsend, 15, of Vicksburg, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, in Vicksburg.
    Survivors include his parents, Leon and Gina Boutwell Pugh of Vicksburg, and Scottie and Lynn Townsend of Union; sisters, Chelsea Townsend of Vicksburg, Taylor Townsend of Union, Danielle Pugh and Tegan Thaggard, both of Decatur; brothers, Richard Townsend of Union, Phillip Townsend of Newton, Josh Pugh of Decatur and Blake Townsend of Collinsville; maternal grandparents, Bob and Thelma Austin of Sevierville, Tenn.; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Nancy Townsend of Union; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Wall of Newton; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Mitchell of Philadelphia; and two nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, W.W. Boutwell.
    Memorials may be made to Warren Central High School Athletics, 1000 Highway 27, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    UNION Services for Mary Ann Hatley will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Little Rock with the Revs. Jimmy McDill and Johnny Collins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Hatley, 96, of Newton, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Bedford Care Center in Newton.
    Survivors include her daughter, Juanita D. Butler and her husband, Billy; a son, Billy Wayne Dean and his wife, Sharon, all of Little Rock; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Trudie Dean of Little Rock and Ann Dean Ivy of Titusville; brothers, Adrian Johnson and Grady Johnson, both of Chunky.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jake Dean, Lott Bailey and Joel Hatley; sons, Douglas Dean and Charles Jerome Dean; and one great-great-grandson, Steven Jerome Meaders.
    Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Village, P.O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060-0027.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Auto mechanic
    PHILADELPHIA Services for C.L. Phillips will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Moore officiating. Burial will be in New County Line Cemetery in the the Edinburg Community of Neshoba County.
    Mr. Phillips, 69, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Korea.
    Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne Petranek of Braxton; a son, Bill Phillips of Philadelphia; four granddaughters; and a brother, Jessie Levoy Phillips of Edinburg.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Mae Dell Hayes will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Malcom Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Hayes, 76, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
    Survivors include her husband, Frank Leo Hayes Sr.; a daughter, Paula "Crickett" Snowden and her husband, Alan; and a son, Don Owens, all of Meridian; a step-son, Leo Hayes of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Ashley Owens, Michael Owens and D.J. Tippy, a warrant officer two U.S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas;
    great-grandchildren, Kristen, Amber, Jessica and Dylan Tippy and Gabe Owens; step-grandchildren, B.J. Turner, Tracy Jo Turner, Ainsley Hayes and Chelsey Hayes; a brother, Larry Cochran of Lampasas, Texas; a sister, Hazel Chizmadia of Bridgeport, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Cochran and Buddy Cochran; and sisters, Evon Long and Christine Mason.
    Pallbearers will be members of the Naval Air Station Golf Association and Bubba Cochran.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Graveside services for Margaret Mosley Miner will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Daleville with the Rev. Jim Wall of Central United Methodist Church in Meridian officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Miner, 86, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare-Broadmoor in Meridian. She was born on Dec. 19, 1916, in Kemper County to R.C. and Sarah McCoy Mosley. She attended schools in DeKalb and joined Blackwater Baptist Church at an early age. She was active in many of the church activities as she grew up especially the WMU with her mother in later years.
    She was a homemaker, living in DeKalb and later moved to Meridian where she was a member of Central United Methodist Church. For the past two years she had been a resident of Beverly Healthcare-Broadmoor Center.
    Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mae Eleanor Mosley Mizell of Jackson; cousins, Sarah Lee Latham Swearengen and Norma Jean Latham Watkins, both of Meridian, and Frances McCoy Peeples of Jackson; a step sister-in-law, Jo McLelland of Daleville; and several other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bert Gully and Warren Miner; a daughter, Sarah Parks Miner; and a brother, W. Chandler Mosley.
    Retired minister
    Services for the Rev. Mathew Jenkins will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Daleville with the Revs. Melvin Jenkins and Cleveland Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Rev. Jenkins, 100, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include his wife, Armetta M. Jenkins of Meridian; daughters, Symrion Tyson and Cardelia Gifford, both of New York, Annie V. Pollard of Columbus, Helen Gordon and her husband, Luther, of Daleville and Martha Carter and her husband, Roosevelt, of Florence, Ala.; sons, Mathew L. Jenkins and his wife, Shirley, and Melvin Jenkins, all of Daleville; and a sister, Alice Hill of Hartwell, Ga.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Vertis C. Roberts, 76, of DeKalb, who died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, in his home.
