    GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Thelma Jones Giles will be held today at 1 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Young and Jessie Griffith and Mike Boutwell officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Cemetery.
    Mrs. Giles, 73, of Gilbertown, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, in Gilbertown. She was an employee of Wal-Mart in Waynesboro.
    Survivors include her son, David Dewayne Giles of Selma, Ala.; brothers, J.C. Jones and his wife, Lera, of Kosciusko, L.V. Jones and his wife, Odean, of Noxapater, William "Bill" Jones and Floyd "Bug" Jones Jr. and his wife, Nellie, all of Philadelphia; sisters, Elma M. Smith of Jackson and Mattie J. Davis and her husband, Harmon, of Philadelphia.

    Services for Dorothy McClelland will be held today at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Gholson with the Rev. J.E. Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. McClelland, 41, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include her husband, Michael McClelland of Meridian; sons, Donald Burrage and Keith Cole, both of DeKalb; a daughter, Priscilla Cole of DeKalb; a grandchild; seven sisters and five brothers.
    She was preceded in death by her parents.
    MARY L. FAULKNER

    Services for Mary L. Faulkner will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Hall officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Mrs. Faulkner, 81, of Meridian, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her sons, Henry "Buddy" Faulkner of Destin, Fla., and the Rev. Benjamin W. Faulkner of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Alice Sharp of Bartow, Fla., and Jacqulin Hay of Leary, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin W. Faulkner; and a son, William Louis "Billy" Faulkner.
    O.V. WELCH KNIGHT

    UNION Services for O.V. Welch Knight will be held today at 2 p.m. at County Line Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Barfoot, Barron Pilgrim and Jim Wall officiating. Burial will be in County Line Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Knight, 88, of Union, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at Beverly HealthCare-Broadmoor. She was a retired bookkeeper from Breland Building Supply. She was an active member of County Line Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and was active in the W.M.U.
    Survivors include her sons, Joe Knight and his wife, Sandra, of Meridian, Gary Knight and his wife, Azalia, of Port Gibson and Jimmy Knight and his wife, Karen, of Union; six grandchildren, Denise Cleveland and her husband, Bobby, of Union, Michelle Burrell and her husband, Allen, of Port Gibson, Joe Knight and his wife, Ann, Donald Knight and his wife, Michelle, all of Sweet Home, Ore., Scott Knight and his wife, Cindy, of Portland, Ore., and Elliot Knight of Union; 11 great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Deann Cleveland of Union, Adam, Abby, Andrew, Spencer, Josie and Caden Knight, all of Sweet Home, Ore., and Ryan, Brittany and Joseph Knight of Portland; a brother, Lavon Welch of Purvis; four sisters, Alice Chisolm of Florida, Kate Gordon of Oregon, Emma Sharp of Collinsville and Charlene Wilson of Hattiesburg; a sister-in-law, Margie Welch of Union; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, H.A. Knight; a sister, Willie Mae Killens; and a brother, Smith Welch.
    Pallbearers will be Jack Chisolm, Wayne Welch, Mark Sharp, Gerald Knight, Jackie Knight and Mark Knight.
    WILLIE MAE WILLIAMS

    UNION Services for Willie Mae Williams will be held today at 3 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Byron Howell and Danny Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery.
    Mrs. Williams, 79, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Laird's Hospital in Union.
    Survivors include her husband, C.L. Williams of Little Rock; a brother, Harvey L. May of Lauderdale; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar L. May and Lora W. May.
    Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.
    Pallbearers will be Billy Laird, Buster Morgan, Charles Wayne "Red" McMahon, Richard Williams, Victor "Woody" Chaney, Ricky Harrison, Mike Chaney and Joel Harrison.
    JERRY LEE BEN
    SEBASTOPOL Services for Jerry Lee Ben will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Ben, 41, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 in Philadelphia.
    Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ben and Jennifer Ben; his mother, Lula Mae Farmer; four brothers, Larry Ben, Robert Lee Ben, Perry Lee Ben and Wendell Farmer, all of Philadelphia; two sisters, Shirley Wallace of Macon and Mary Isaac of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
    MARY M. COOKS
    Services for Mary M. Cooks will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Waynesboro. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Cooks, 57, of Shubuta, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
    Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Cooks of Shubuta; two sons, Roy Chester Cooks and his wife, Temika, of Monroe, La., and Jerry Cooks of Shubuta; a sister, Bennie C. McLendon of Langsdale; a brother, Eddie Mays of Meridian; 11 grandchildren several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Cooks.
    Visitation will be Wednesday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home in Newton for Tommy E. Rose of Hickory, who died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, in Reno, Nev.

    Arrangements were incomplete at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home for Stephanie Jackson, 28, of Meridian, who died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
