Extension announces Watermelon Festival contests
A well-loved aspect of each year’s Franklin County Watermelon Festival is the Franklin County Extension contests.
“We have been hosting these activities since 2009. The coloring and photography contest have our largest number of entries,” said Franklin County Extension Director Katernia Cole-Coffey. “The contests increase the knowledge of Alabama agriculture to the citizens of Franklin County, surrounding areas and across the state of Alabama.”
