Red Bay girls claim grades 7-8 title

The Red Bay Tigers put together a dominant second half to secure a convincing 49–24 victory over the East Franklin Rebels in the grades 7-8 girls championship game, turning a solid halftime lead into a runaway win.

Red Bay led 24–12 at halftime and never let East Franklin find a rhythm afterwards. Strong defense and balanced scoring allowed Red Bay to steadily extend the lead, outscoring East Franklin 25–12 in the second half to seal the championship win.

The Tigers were led by Hadley Griffin, who had a game-high 16 points. Raigan Henson followed closely with 14 points. Rylie Robbins added 7 points, while Lily Nichols and Makagan Rhodes chipped in 4 points apiece. Mckenna Wooten and Ella McKim rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.

Ally Wood carried the scoring load for East Franklin with 14 points, accounting for more than half of her team’s total offense. A.T. Zills and Lacy Benford scored 3 points each, while Aspen Rambo and Bre Voyles contributed 2 points apiece.
