Red Bay boys win grades 7–8 title
The Red Bay Tigers rallied after an early deficit and closed strong in the fourth quarter to earn a 32–26 victory over the East Franklin Rebels in the grades 7-8 boys championship game.
East Franklin jumped out to a 9–4 lead after the first quarter behind a strong start from Aaron Stowe, but Red Bay responded in the second quarter. The Tigers outscored the Rebels 11–6 in the quarter to take a 15–11 lead into halftime.
The third quarter saw both teams trade baskets as East Franklin fought back to tie the game at 21–21. In the fourth quarter, Red Bay took control, outscoring East Franklin 11–5 to pull away and secure the championship.
The Tigers were led by Mikah Lynch, who finished with a game-high 15 points. Luke Stacy and Max Farris followed with 5 points each, while Sawyer Page added 3 points, and Brayden Fly and Hank Ray chipped in 2 points apiece.
East Franklin was led by Aaron Stowe with 13 points. Jacob Potter added 6 points, while Dusty Frost scored 4 points, and Levi McGraw finished with 3 points.
