PC wins 9th grade girls title

The Phil Campbell Lady Bobcats delivered a strong allaround performance to secure a 40–29 victory over the Belgreen Lady Bulldogs in the ninthgrade girls championship game, pulling away in the second half after building an early lead.

Phil Campbell took control early, leading 17–10 at halftime. After the break, the Lady Bobcats outscored the Lady Bulldogs 23–19 in the second half to seal the championship win.

Phil Campbell was led by Kylee Fugate, who scored a game-high 12 points. Gracie Harris and Drue Thomas followed with 9 points each; Millie Baker added 6 points; while Crimson Garrison finished with 4 points.

Belgreen was paced by Marlie Terry, who led all scorers for the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points. Kayla Canelas added 8 points, while Abigail Wood contributed 4 points, and MaKayla Hammond added 2 points.
