Holiday closings set for next 2 weeks

The Franklin County Courthouse will be closed Wednesday through Friday. The courthouse will also be closed Jan. 1 but will reopen Jan. 2 at normal business hours.

Hodges City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday. It will also be closed Jan. 1 but will reopen Jan. 2, at normal business hours.

Phil Campbell City Hall will be closed Wednesday through Friday. City hall will also be closed Jan. 1 but will reopen Jan. 2 at normal business hours.

Vina City Hall will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. City hall will also be closed Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 but will reopen Jan. 5 for normal business hours.

Red Bay City Hall will close at noon Wednesday and remain closed through Friday. Garbage routes normally picked up on Wednesday will be collected Friday. Routes normally picked up on Friday will be collected Monday. City hall will close at noon Dec. 31 and remain closed until Jan. 5 when it will reopen at normal business hours.

Russellville City Hall will be closed Wednesday through Friday. Garbage collection will run on a normal schedule, except routes normally collected Thursdaywill be picked up on Friday. City hall will also be closed Dec. 31 through Jan. 2, but will reopen on Jan. 5 for normal business hours.

The City of Russellville will place dumpsters throughout the city through Friday for Christmas debris only. Household garbage is not permitted. Locations include the Chucky Mullins Center, the Old College Avenue School lot, the Russellville High School parking lot, Miller’s Affordable Furniture on Highway 43 South, Sloss Lake, the old National Guard Armory site, Hester Heights subdivision and McDonald’s on Underwood Road.

Franklin County garbage collection will run on a normal schedule, except routes normally picked up on Thursdays will be collected Fridays for the next two weeks.

The county landfill will close at noon Wednesday and remained closed on Christmas Day, but will reopen until noon Friday on Friday. The landfill will also be closed Jan. 1 but will reopen Jan. 2 for normal business hours.

Russellville City Schools and Franklin County Schools will be closed Friday through Jan. 7 and will reopen on Jan. 8.
