Don’t forget art crawl

RUSSELLVILLE — The second annual art crawl in downtown Russellville continues through April 7. The art crawl is sponsored by the GFWC Russellville Book Lovers Study Club, CB&S Bank, Russellville Main Street, & Franklin County Chamber of Commerce

One possible route is to park at CB&S Bank, south of town and go inside to see two photographs. Then, proceed up the hill, keeping on the east side of Jackson Avenue, and take in the art until arriving at Wood-Thompson Insurance.

Cross over the street toward the Historic Roxy Theatre, and head next door to Grissom Cleaners, where there are some art pieces from Russellville High and Tharptown schools. Continue north and visit Main Street Real Estate and The Rose Market Candle Bar to see more art.

Across the street on the west side of Jackson Avenue, find the law office next to the post office and go inside to see a pen and ink drawing. Then walk south on the right side of Main Street/Jackson Avenue. Russellville First Baptist Church has a guardian angel painting. The last stop is Mendoza Barber Shop with the motorcycle out front.

Did you find Bob the cat? He is a small painting inside one of the businesses along the art crawl.

ART CRAWL LOCATIONS: CB&S Bank, The Ville Nutrition, Mission Medical, Mitch McKinney Law Office, Russellville Public Library, Russellville Florist & Gifts, Hair Studio 722, Traditions Sports Deli Farmhouse Table Café, Thompson’s Drapery & Gifts, Edward Jones, Wood-Thompson Insurance, The Historic Roxy Theatre, Grissom Cleaners, Main Street Real Estate, The Rose Market Candle Bar, Rogers, Bowling & McReynolds Law Firm, Russellville First Baptist Church, EXIT Realty, 109 Jackson Avenue, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Mendoza Barber Shop.
