Franklin County Cattlemen donate beef to FC consumer science programs

October is Beef Month, and each year, the Franklin County Cattlemen donate beef to all of the consumer science programs in Franklin County, and this year 400 pounds of beef is being divided equally among the four programs.

These boxes are filled with USDA grade American beef. Along with ground beef, there are various cuts, including ribeye and New York strip, to flank, steak and beef tips. These boxes of beef will allow students to practice preparing and cooking for taste and texture.

This event is part of FCCA giving back to the community that is made possible by the nearly 500 members that make up the FCCA.
