Don’t miss Franklin Living – Rural bliss, flower power, Dartmouth-bound and more

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – there’s a lot of interesting folks in Franklin County, and we’re pleased to highlight them in our magazine, Franklin Living. The May/June issue is available this week. If you’re a subscriber, it should arrive inside your regular copy of the newspaper. We have yellow boxes located around the county with free copies. You can also come by our office, number 7 in the Byars Building in downtown Russellville.

In this issue, you’ll learn about a Wisconsin family that made its way to Spruce Pine to fulfill a dream of a more rural lifestyle with a slower pace among beautiful surroundings. You’ll also read about a retired Russellville teacher who enjoys sharing her love of decorating with cut flowers. Another story featured in this issue is that of a Russellville High School student about to begin her experience of an Ivy League education.

Elsewhere in the magazine, you’ll learn about upcoming community events, find new recipes to try and read about faith, finances and even get reading recommendations that may lead you to your next favorite book. In our Faces of Franklin County section, you might see yourself or someone you know – out and about having fun in the county! And thanks to the Extension, you can learn more about “creepy crawlies.”

Let’s not forget our advertisers and other area businesses. Shopping from local businesses really makes a difference, not only for the individuals/families running them, but also for the community, through the tax dollars it generates. Every little bit helps. Let’s support Franklin County and help our favorite businesses stay IN business, thriving and continuing to grow!
