Russellville Fire Department promotes two, hires one

In its regular meeting Oct. 2, the Russellville City Council approved two promotions and one new hire for the Russellville Fire Department.

Sgt. Andy DeVaney was promoted to lieutenant, and Lt. Jeremy Glenn was promoted to captain. Landon Beard was hired as a firefighter.

“These two guys are well-deserving of the promotions,” said RFD Deputy Chief Randy Seal. “They are out of one of the most highly qualified fields of applicants I’ve been a part of.”

Seal also shared his thoughts on Beard’s hiring as a firefighter.

“We hope to see great things out of this young man, and we believe he will make a good firefighter and serve the city well.”
