Belgreen tops Tharptown in softball action

The Belgreen Bulldogs scored four runs in the second inning and six runs in the fifth inning and get 14 hits leading to an easy 13-2 win over Tharptown April 4.

Noelle Willingham had a big day at the plate for Belgreen, going four-for-four with an RBI and three runs from the leadoff spot. Makayla Willingham had two hits, including a double and two RBIs and scored a run. Lily Blackburn had two hits, including a home run and an RBI, and scored a run. Hannah Borden had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs.

Blackburn got the win for Belgreen in the circle, pitching four innings, allowing four hits and striking out three.

Leslie Staggs led Tharptown with a double and an RBI.
