Russellville City Council promotes firefighters

The Russellville City Council held a brief regular meeting Jan. 3, with the work session beginning at 6 p.m. and the meeting directly after.

The council approved:

• Renewal of contract with chaplain Bobby Brown.
• Promotion of Grant Tarascou and Brad Pounders to Firefighter II.
• Authorization of payment to Municipal Workers Compensation Fund in the amount of $51,117.

The next regular meeting of the Russellville City Council will be Jan. 17.
