PHOTOS: Christmas displays make spirits bright
Kristie and Charles Bell coordinate with Christmas with the McCollums to hold a special night to greet visitors the same night the McCollums hold their Meet and Treat night.
One of the buildings at Kristie and Charles Bells’ is decorated like a gingerbread house. The Bells, of 101 Kennerly Road in Phil Campbell, boast an extensive Christmas display and circular drive. They coordinate with Christmas with the McCollums to hold a special night to greet visitors the same night the McCollums hold their Meet and Treat night.
The Childers’ son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Erica, have their own large Christmas display at 3542 Duncan Creek Road in Russellville, complete with a light show synched to songs they’ve pre-selected.
Tyler and Erica’s large display, inspired by the display Tyler’s parents have, is something they build on each year. Some of their pieces belonged to Tyler’s grandmother, who loved Christmas.

Terry and Regina Childers have a large Christmas display at their home, 317 Stony Brook Drive, in Russellville. It’s visible from Highway 43, on the way out of town toward the Shoals. The Childers have their lights set up to flash in sync to the music playing in each person’s car when tuned to a certain radio station.
