Tigers fall to Hamilton in opener

The Red Bay Tigers will have to keep trying to get their first win against the Hamilton Aggies.

The two teams finally met on the gridiron for the first time since 1983. The Tigers had never beaten the Aggies in 17 previous meetings.

Hamilton had to forfeit this past year because of COVID-19, but the Aggies won the game this year, 40-24.

Hamilton led Red Bay 14-0 at the end of the first quarter, but the Tigers battled back to cut the score to 21-16 by halftime.

Aiden Quinn led the Tigers with 11 carries for 185 yards. Elijah Luster completed seven of 11 passes for 73 yards.

Nathan Elrod led Red Bay defensively with six tackles. Holden Inman had four tackles.
