Constellium supports Listerhill’s Kicks for Kids with $5K sponsorship

Listerhill’s Kicks for Kids received a major boost recently with a $5,000 sponsorship from the Listerhill Headquarters neighbor, Constellium.

Listerhill Credit Union, based in northwest Alabama with a location, operates Kicks for Kids to provide new shoes to children in need in Alabama and Tennessee.

“We are delighted to have such a great neighbor in Constellium,” said Listerhill Credit Union CEO Brad Green. “Kicks for Kids provides children with a new pair of brand-name athletic shoes to help to increase their self-esteem, encourage school participation, increase physical activity and give them an opportunity to reach their potential. With this partnership, we are now able to take care of so many additional children.”

Chris Smith, president of Constellium Muscle Shoals, said he was thrilled to present the check to support Kicks for Kids.

“Constellium is tremendously proud to partner with Listerhill to support our community in such a meaningful way,” Smith said. “Kicks for Kids provides us with the opportunity to give back to our community and make a lasting impact on a number of Shoals-area students, and that’s an investment we are honored to make.”

The next “Shoe Drop” is scheduled to take place in September; the participating school was to be announced this week.

Kicks for Kids is operated through the Listerhill Foundation. The purpose of the Listerhill Foundation is charitable, which includes improving the lives of adults, youth and children in the northwestern region of Alabama and south-central Tennessee. It seeks to do so by providing financial support for local schools and tangible and intangible support for underprivileged youth, as well as by helping adults, youth and children improve financial health and overcome the consequences of poverty.
