Calhoun golf takes third in regional tourney

The Calhoun Lady Warhawks – including Russellville’s Morgan Moon – played in the regional tournament April 15-16, and they came away with a third-place win.

The tournament was hosted by Snead State Community College at Eagle’s Nest Golf Course in Guntersville.

Calhoun tallied 722 points for the third-place finish, coming in behind Wallace State with 663 and Jefferson State with 710. Snead State took fourth place with 724, and Northeast Alabama came in fifth with 840.

In individual results, Moon tied for 10th with scores of 95 and 86 for a 181 total.

The Lady Warhawks will play in Georgia Military College’s April 24-25 at The Club at Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville, Ga.
