Russellville camp hits home run with young athletes

Baseball season is fast approaching, and young athletes got a head start on preparing for their season at the 2020 RHS Winter Baseball Camp held Jan. 25.

The temperature outside was cold, but campers still got plenty of instruction from Russellville High School coaches and players. Campers were able to take advantage of the indoor facilities at the baseball and softball fields at RHS.

Some of the topics covered during the camp – which was led by Russellville head coach Chris Heaps and his staff – included hitting, pitching, defense and base running.
