BHS’ Camie Terrell signs for softball at Martin Methodist

Camie Terrell, a power-hitting standout softball player for the Belgreen Bulldogs, will get a chance to continue her career in college. Terrell has signed a softball scholarship with Martin Methodist.

Terrell had an outstanding year at the plate for the Bulldogs batting .544 and racking up 28 extra base hits, four home runs, 48 RBIs and 36 runs. She was also successful in 12 of 14 steal attempts.

“Martin Methodist feels like home to me,” said Terrell. “After my first visit, I knew I had to commit. The atmosphere and coaching staff are amazing. I felt like it was where God wanted me to be.”

Terrell said she is excited to have the opportunity to keep playing softball while earning her degree.

“The softball field has always been my escape,” said Terrell. “It is my happy place. Getting to play on the college level has always been my biggest dream; I am blessed that God had given me the opportunity to do so.”

The Redhawks plan to use Terrell at first base and the outfield.

Terrell said she plans to major in elementary education.
