CB&S Bank, Kids To Love organization partner to collect school supplies

CB&S Bank, headquartered in Russellville, has announced a new partnership with the Kids to Love organization – with children in Franklin County among those expected to benefit from the joint effort.

The Kids to Love organization, based in Madison, has a mission to meet the immediate needs of foster children while they wait for their forever families. The organization has developed multiple programs to help in this mission, one of them being the More than a Backpack program. Kids to Love works with foster agencies to provide backpacks to foster children, packed with school supplies for the beginning of the next school year.

CB&S Bank has decided to join forces with Kids to Love and will be collecting school supplies to benefit local foster children. CB&S retail and sales director Dana Thomas said the partnership fits with CB&S’ mission and is a relationship the bank aims to continue for years to come.

“Since the organization works with foster agencies all across the South, we felt like partnering with them would allow all CB&S Bank locations to participate and make a difference in the communities we serve,” said Thomas, who added the bank’s Huntsville area locations were the first to connect with Kids to Love before spreading the relationship throughout the company. “This program is more than just providing backpacks; it’s making a difference in the lives of others, and we strive to do that as a company.”

Items needed include colored pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, backpacks, three-ring binders, pocket folders, one-subject notebooks, filler paper, erasers, rulers, ink pens, pencils and pencil boxes.

School supply donations may be dropped off at local CB&S Bank branches from now until July 31. Franklin County branch locations are:

  • 1481 Highway 172, Hodges
  • 15290 Highway 43 N., Russellville
  • 3571 Broad St., Phil Campbell
  • 407 4th St. SW, Red Bay
  • 14015 Highway 43, Russellville

CB&S Bank is a $1.6 billion community bank, operating 50 offices in the Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee markets.
