The Russellville High School boys’ and girls’ soccer teams went on the road for first round of the AHSAA Class 4A-5A play-off matches, and both squads struggled in losses.

April 26 the RHS boys traveled to Guntersville, and head coach Trey Stanford’s team fell to the Wildcats by a 2-0 final score. Guntersville advanced to round two, and they will travel to play a West Morgan team that beat Arab 1-0.

The Russellville boys finished the season with an 8-5-1 record, including a 6-2 mark in Area 14, where West Morgan took first place.
