Local athletes qualify for state track meet

The sectional track and field meets were held Friday and Saturday, and several local athletes have qualified for the state track and field meet to be held this week.

Russellville’s Grayson Eady finished fourth in the javelin competition.

Vina’s Elizabeth Baty was second in the girls’ 1600-meter run.

Tharptown’s Winston Nolen finished second in the boys’ 1600-meter run.

Belgreen’s girls came in third in the 4×100-meter relay.
