Partnership Banquet celebrates FC’s best

Franklin County’s Partnership Awards Banquet was held March 15 at the A.W. Todd Centre to honor some of the best of the best across the county.

It was a short affair as far as banquets go – a good thing, according to Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Director Cassie Medley.

“I’ve found that when you keep the programs shorter, people like to stay around longer and socialize,” she said.

People had plenty of good things to talk about after the program was over. In addition to the numerous awards presented, attendees were treated to Russellville High School’s A Cappella Ensemble, which performed several songs, and a meal that was catered by Fourth Street Grill in Red Bay.

According to Medley, close to 300 people were in attendance.

“It’s like a reunion every year. I get to see and talk to people that I don’t usually get to,” she said.

Awards, presented by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin County Development Authority, included:

  • Beautification Awards: Phil Campbell – Leisure Creations, Red Bay – Clarion Couture, Russellville – The Bricks Restaurant
  • Business of the Year: Cottontails Children’s Boutique
  • Franklin County’s Best Kept Secret: The Roxy’s Legend of Toyland
