Blowout victory: Red Bay gets 11-1 win over Hamilton

The Red Bay Tigers scored six runs in the fifth inning on their way to an easy 11-1 victory over the Hamilton Aggies.

With the game tied 1-1 going into the top of the third inning, Red Bay took the lead for good on an RBI single by Hayden Murray.

Kolby Bragwell, Kaleb Sims, Alex Burroughs and Cade McKinney each drove in runs in the big fifth inning for the Tigers. Chase Allen pitched the Tigers to the win, going six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six.

Red Bay racked up 17 hits in the game. Bragwell led the way, going three-for-four with three runs batted in and two runs scored.

Luke Rooker, Hayden Murray, Sylar Brazil, Allen, Max Bullen and Kaleb Sims all had two hits each. Burroughs had two RBIs.

Colbert County 14, Red Bay 6

The Red Bay Tigers committed seven fielding errors in a 14-6 loss to the Colbert County Indians last week.

Colbert County led 6-0 before the Tigers could cross home plate in the bottom of the fourth inning. Colbert County picked up two more in the top of the fifth to extend the lead to 8-1. Red Bay scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers.

Kolby Bragwell went three-for-four with an RBI and scored a run. Kaleb Sims also had a two-hit and two-RBI game.
