Milton Davis Glass

Mr. Milton Davis Glass, age 91, of Barnesville, Ga., passed away Nov. 20 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Glass was born in Russelville Oct. 6, 1926, to the late Milton Gholson Glass and the late Fannie Velma Campbell Glass. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps for two years and later joined the United States Army and served for 20 years, where he retired as a lieutenant colonel. He was stationed in China during World War II. Following his service to his country, he worked with the Randolph School in Huntsville. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and went on many mission trips with the Barnesville First United Methodist Church.

Milton was a member of Barnesville Rotary Club, a Master Gardner and a former member of Kiwanis. He was a member of Barnesville First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Glass is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sara Dunbar Glass; children, Charles Glass, Sara Ann Jernigan and her husband Robbie, William Glass and his wife Frances and James Glass and his wife Gina; grandchildren Gholson Glass, Spencer Glass, Rowan Glass, Carl (Dee) Jernigan, Alex Glass and Luisa Glass; sisters, Ann Richardson and Frances Bowling; many nieces and nephews; and two devoted caregivers, Rose Hugh and San Dumas,

Funeral services for Mr. Milton Glass was held Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Barnesville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Linda Jones officiating. Interment followed in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
