Marie Mitchell

Marie Mitchell, 87, passed away Oct. 27 at Terrace Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Colbert County.

The visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 29 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 4 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating was Bro. Keith Prince. Burial was at Franklin Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Greer McCaig, and brother, Herbert McCaig.

Her memory is left to be cherished by her husband of 65 years, Jack E. Mitchell; children, Geri Fulford and husband George, Donna Batchelor and husband Greg, Robert Mitchell, Roger Mitchell, Randy Mitchell and wife Susan, Sandra Copeland and husband Hudson and Lisa Wade and husband Webster; grandchildren, Amanda Fulford, Stacy Fulford, John Batchelor, Lauren Copeland, Kevin Mitchell, Jonathan Wade, Jennifer Wade, Austin Mitchell, Felicia Mitchell and Wesley Mitchell; and sister, Helen McCaig.

The pallbearers will be Vernon Smith, Kenneth Hatton, John Batchelor, Kevin Mitchell, Jonathan Wade and Jeff Whitely.

The family wishes to express gratitude to Terrace Manor for the loving care she received and to Dr. Morrow for his care and attention.
