Belgreen finishes runner-up in tournament

The Belgreen Bulldogs volleyball team finished runner-up in the Colbert Heights Invitational, losing to the host team in the finals.

The Bulldogs picked up wins in the tournament against Colbert County, Tharptown and Cherokee. Belgreen beat Colbert County 25-14 and 25-8; Tharptown 25-14 and 25-13; and Cherokee 25-9 and 25-16.

Sophomore setter Autumn Bragwell had 83 assists, seven kills, 11 digs and five aces in the five tournament matches.

Freshman middle hitter Emma Dempsey had 41 kills, three blocks, seven aces, two digs and one assist.
