PC fishing to mark state win with community celebration

After taking first place in the state  for the Alabama Student Angler Bass Fishing Association, the Phil Campbell Fishing Team is ready to celebrate.

The team was named state champs in early May following the state classic, which the team entered as No. 2 in the state. To celebrate the victory, the Phil Campbell Fishing Team will be having a celebration/cookout at the Phil Campbell Park May 23 at 6 p.m. 

The event is being provided, team adviser Elisha Mansell said, by several of the community members and businesses.

The cookout is open to the community to come and celebrate these winning fishermen. Volunteers to assist and donations are welcome – call Mansell at 256-684-5116 or Johnny Bowen at 256-810-9415.
