RPD arrests one for burglary

The Russellville Police Department has charged a Tuscumbia man with burglary third degree following an incident Sept. 27.

Laurel Avenue, investigators said. Russellville Patrol Units responded and found the building had been burglarized.

With the help of witnesses who saw the suspect running from the building, and the off-duty Russellville police officer, Russellville Police Units were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody. Investigators said Jeffrey Allan Hamm, 32, of Tuscumbia, admitted to police he had been at the building, and after the investigation was completed, Hamm was charged with burglary third degree.

Hamm is currently in Franklin County Jail awaiting bond.
