The Cultura Garden Club is selling tickets for a barbeque dinner May 31. The meal will consist of Pilgrim’s BBQ, vinegar slaw, baked beans, roll, dessert and drink for $10. The plates will be served at First Baptist Church in Russellville from 4:30-6:30 p.m. To purchase a ticket, see any garden club member or call 256-443-7497. The money is used to supply the pots, soil and flowers for the beautification of downtown Russellville.

Garden Club members suggest: The next time you “stop and smell the flowers” while visiting an office or business downtown, tell the businesses how much you appreciate this addition to the city. The Cultura Garden Club not only donates pots, soil and flowers, but the members maintain and water these all during the summer months.
