By Nicole Burns for the FCT
On Monday, a one-vehicle crash sent one to the hospital and backed up traffic for commuters in the Churntown community of Franklin County. Alabama State Troopers said the wreck happened at 6:40 a.m. along Highway 243 near Willie’s Grocery Store.
Troopers said the driver of the 2000 Mercury Cougar, Marvin D. Wilson Jr., of Double Springs, lost control of the vehicle. He was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. No one else was hurt in the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
