Twin Pines to host Don White golf tournament

TWIN-PINES

The Don White Memorial Golf Tournament will be held April 24 at Twin Pines Country Club.

The tournament will be held as a way to memorialize Don White who was one of the area’s best amateur golfers for many years.

The tournament will be a four-person scramble with three flights. There will be closest to the hole and long drive prizes available to those participating as well.

The proceeds from the tournament help to benefit the University of North Alabama golf team.

A shotgun start of 20 teams will happen at 8 a.m. and 20 teams will tee off starting at 12:30 p.m.

The country club will also be hosting their annual Twin Pines Invitational during Memorial Day weekend, May 23 and 24.

The Jim Bishop Classic is the largest invitational in northwest Alabama and registers up to 170 golfers. Practice rounds for the Jim Bishop Classic will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22.

Early registration is urged by Twin Pines Country Club for their annual invitational tournament.
