Rotary Club gets RES update

At Monday’s Rotary Club meeting, Rex Mayfield, superintendent of Russellville City Schools, invited Dr. Karen Thorn, Assistant Principal and Paula Young, 4th grade teacher at Russellville Elementary School, to be his guests.  Paula Young, who is studying Administration, gave the Rotarians an update of how the curriculum and instruction has changed in many ways. RES teachers have embraced technology and are using it in all aspects of teaching, according to Young. Some other topics she touched on were school safety and nutrition.
