Ruth Malone West, age 92, of Russellville, Alabama passed away Jan. 28, 2015.

The visitation was Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Akins Funeral Home, followed by a family graveside service at  Franklin Memory Garden. Officiating was Bro. Bert Fowler. Interment was at Franklin Memory Garden.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Laney L. West; parents, Orland and Minne Malone; son, Larry J. West.

She is survived by her children, Jan Monroe and husband, Bo, Ben West; step granddaughter, Brooke Carruthers; great step granddaughters, Scout Carruthers, Neely Carruthers; host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. West was well known in the area for her creativity as a seamstress creating costumes for Looneys Tavern Productions, also sewing for local Bands, and etc.
