Opal Faye Hester Allen, 73, of Phil Campbell, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2014.

Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of FranklinCounty, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

The funeral service was Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in WinstonMemorialCemetery, Haleyville.   Sammy Taylor Officiated. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014.

Survivors include husband, Richard Allen; children, Mollie Shirley, Jeff Allen and Derek Allen; sisters, Helen Lawler and Hazel Hester; brother, Ray Hester; grandchildren, Riley Shelnutt, Megan Welborn, Morgan Shelnutt, Taylor Allen and Kaylee Allen; great-grandchild, Maddie Drew Welborn.
