Ruth Elaine Seal, 79, Russellville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at RussellvilleHospital.

Ruth’s aim in life was be a good wife, mother, and grandmother, and she excelled at all of those.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by everyone.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Officiating will be Bro. Gary Yielding and Bro. Wade Wallace. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alva L. Seal; daughter, Debby Griffith and husband, Harry; grandchildren, Scott Robison and wife, Laura-Kate, Brooke Cowart and husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Kenleigh and Jolie Cowart; sisters, Frances Logan, Edith Martin and husband, James; brother, Don Hovater and wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Mary V. Bolton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Seal; parents, Nedward Dawson and Kate Hovater; brothers, Hershel Hovater and wife, Gladys, Clifton Hovater and wife, Ruth; sister, Lillian Garrison and husband, Silas; and several nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and doctors of Russellville Hospital ICU; Dr. Kevin Kelly, and Dr. David Longmire for the love and care of our family.
