Alice Nellie Sparks, 76, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 24, 1938 in Mississippi.  She worked at Blue Bell and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Life Baptist Church while living in Muscle Shoals and was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss., for most of her life where she taught Sunday school. She was a resident of Allsboro, for 30 years.

Services were Saturday, May 3, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss. with Bro. James Segars and Haskell Sparks officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, Miss. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss., was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are her husband of almost 55 years, Harold G. Sparks of Muscle Shoals; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Steles, Emily Steles, and Sarah Steles all of Muscle Shoals; and one brother, Jerry Henley of Belmont, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tulon and Reba Henley; one son, Douglas Ray Sparks and one daughter, Vicki Sparks Steles.

Pallbearers were David Henley, Gerald Henley, Jeff Henley, Keith Henley, Donnie Joe Sparks and Roger Sparks.
