William Christopher McCalpin II, 21, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

He was born May 17, 1992 in Alabama and was a sawmill worker.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at New Hope Baptist Church, Hamilton, with Bro. Mark Collier officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Hamilton.

Survivors are his parents, William Christopher McCalpin, Sr. and Gwena Faye Green McCalpin of Red Bay.; one sister, Amber Marie McCalpin of Red Bay; his grandfathers, Bobby Joe McCalpin of Red Bay and Cecil Green of Texas; step-grandmother, Mae Green of Texas; and grandmother, Wilby Jean Smith of Belmont, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Lou McCalpin.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 22, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and he will lie in state from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at New Hope Baptist Church.
