Ronnie Pounders, 67, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at his residence.

Ronnie was a native of Franklin County and was self-employed. He enjoyed Alabama football, cooking and playing pool. He was happy, helpful, and never met a stranger. He will be missed by his many friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Carrie Lynn Wilson and husband, Bryan, Tracy B. McLemore, and Tanner Steele; grandchildren, Nathan and Corey McLemore and Austin and Brooklyn Wilson; brother, Dexter Pounders and wife, Laura; niece Nena Brown and husband, Bomber.

The funeral service was Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with burial in Belgreen Cemetery. Officiating was Ralton McCarley.

Pallbearers were Tanner Steele, Nathan McLemore, Corey McLemore, Austin Wilson, Bryan Wilson, and Samuel Steele.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gardie and Vivian Pounders.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Steele, Dr. Ridgeway, Dr. Clark and Gentiva Hospice of Muscle Shoals.
